Miles is Head of Retail Development at XPO Logistics UK & Ireland and prior to joining XPO held a number of senior operational, business development, supply chain re-engineering and consultancy roles over the last 14 years, with experience of working in Europe, USA, Africa and South America.

Miles is expert in the design and development of both manual and automated e-commerce and direct to consumer operations, and led the design and development of an award winning automated warehouse for a leading UK retailer.

Other relevant experience includes:

  • Leading large scale chilled and ambient warehouse operations (250+ colleagues)
  • Leading the development of large scale transport operations (400+ vehicles)
  • Experience of working in 3PL, in-house and consultancy for both corporate and Private Equity clients.
  • Leading operational diligence, separation planning and rapid operational improvement projects across retail, FMCG, packaging, facilities management and defense sectors.
  • I love IRX it has that great mix of interesting sessions and speakers, as well as a good exhibition filled with new suppliers and new technologies – it’s a great time out of the office!
