Managing Director, Customer Solutions, Barclaycard
Sharon joined Barclays Global Retail and Commercial Bank in 2007. After 18 months working in Barclays EMEA running the integration of an acquired Russian bank, Sharon moved to Barclays Corporate to lead their international product group. This involved managing product strategy leading to new pan-African products and a simpler product set, then building a sales pipeline with global corporates, specifically for Africa.
In 2012 Sharon joined Barclaycard and managed the Global Payments Network team, as well as establishing the Enterprise Partnerships business, responsible for pulling disparate parts of Barclays together to respond to opportunities with large corporates. 
More recently, Sharon has spent two years managing the UK Secured lending business, leading the business through to the successful sale of the asset portfolio. She now sits on the governing board of the business (First Plus PLC). 
Sharon was recently appointed as Managing Director for Customer Solutions for Barclaycard Global Payment Acceptance managing proposition, marketing and value management for the business.
Prior to joining Barclays Sharon worked for Accenture’s consulting practice for 10 years, leading large scale strategy and change in the communications and technology space and working with some leading global brands including Vodafone, UPC and Orange. 
Sharon was born in the UK and has worked in the Middle East and across Europe. She attended university in Leicester and graduated with a Technology degree.  She is married with a young daughter.
