Five Future Trends in Consumer Technology

With more connected devices and better networking, the technology surrounding digital payments is continually evolving and improving. As generation Z and millennials become the largest combined group of global consumers, consumer preferences are also shifting, and the collective force of these two influences is drastically impacting the retail landscape. 

 

During my session in the Digital Payments Theatre, I will be looking carefully at this evolving landscape and discussing five key consumer tech trends driving payments. As retail becomes more about holistic experiences, merchants are under pressure to develop their brand personality and focus on consumers’ UX.

 

Our latest Acapture research on consumer behavior has revealed that young consumers are more global than their older peers, so there will be more focus on streamlining real-time cross-border payments. They are more interested in uniting in-store and online shopping, so retailers will have to experiment with offering personalized, omnichannel experiences, and develop exciting ways to engage their customers through cutting edge technology like virtual reality.

 

As a data-driven payments company, we are experts in the field of digital technology. In my session I will give explanations on how to tap this new tech to offer ultimate personalized experiences, win repeat business, and maximize revenue in the complex, consumer-centric retail landscape.
