I’ve been working in and around the eCommerce & web application environment for over a decade. I have worked on projects with many software providers from SaaS based services through to complete bespoke. I really enjoy working on building brands who are beginning or re-visiting their eCommerce offering.
eCommerce is such a multi-faceted role including web, branding, shipping & carriers, systems integration, email & of course the marketing & revenue generation/customer retention piece.
I started working on the implementation & branding of food ordering & hotel room booking systems for the university & conference venue sectors across the UK & US.
I then moved on to managing the eCommerce & email marketing platforms for the Deltic group who are the UK’s largest nightclub and bar operator of over 60+ venues and around 15 brands which are all hosted within a single bespoke eCommerce platform with full EPOS & App integration across the estate. This was a role anybody working in the digital industries would find ideal as the customer demographic was 18 – 23 year olds who are in the sweet spot of social media & mobile usage. It provided some great insight into their usage of technology which bucked some industry myths & trends for sure!
I have been with Grenson for just over 3 years. I manage eCommerce and lots of dependant systems here as well as handling the implementation of our digital marketing efforts across paid social & the technical & on-site organic SEO elements where we have seen some fantastic gains in my time here as the eCommerce operation grows globally every year.
Within the past few years I have spoken at Magento Live in the UK with Amazon Pay and at events for DotDigital. Talking to people and sharing experiences is something I find great value in.
