Graduated from Toulouse School of Management (France) and Rijksuniversiteit Groningen (Netherlands) in Strategy and International Management, Bastien began his career within Safran Group, working in the Strategy Department. Already, his mission was to identify trends and to meet future market demands. He then joined a consulting firm and a saas startup, where he learned about startup operating model and its whole innovation ecosystem.

In 2016, he joined Cdiscount to create an ambitious innovation department at the service of the French leader in ecommerce. He has structured the "test and learn" approach, which announced some 250 experiments with partners. In 2022, Bastien joined Octopia as Global Head of Partnerships, focusing on international development supported by implementation, consulting, and tech partners.
