Born on March 19, 1975, Ricardo d’Avila started his career in 1997 by Legrand, where we experienced many roles as commercial, product development, strategy, channel, and marketing responsibilities. He moved to Sonepar in 2007 as Marketing Director for South America. He was subsequently appointed Chief Operation Officer for the region, being in that role until 2011. He moved in 2011 from São Paulo, Brazil, to Geneva in Switzerland, where in the HQ of Sonepar, he became an International Market Manager in charge of two global product divisions for four years. He later accumulated the International Marketing team of Sonepar International Services, covering a Digital strategy cooperation with the Global CTO, being the International Market Director for Sonepar from 2015 to Dec 2017, when he left Sonepar. 
He studied civil engineering at the Unicamp, one of the best Universities of Brazil, having a MBA in Executive Marketing and Organizational Culture. Ricardo has also done an International Leadership Program at Insead and proceeded to work in a fast, upscale international environment, assuring global development on B2B complex markets. Two global-leaders B2B multinational companies as professional background, 10 years as manufacturer and 10 years as distributor/wholesaler, having the two views from the two sides of the table and digital as expertise. 

Passionate about people and cultures, in his free time, Ricardo founded and runs a social project which supports Brazilian students from very-low income families.
