When and where is IRX 2020?

IRX takes place across two days at the conveniently located National Exhibition Centre (NEC) near Birmingham on:

By train

Train travel

The NEC is located next to Birmingham International train station and the halls are connected so you won’t even need to brave the elements. Direct services run all day, however if you’re travelling from further afield you may need to catch a connecting train at Birmingham New Street, which is less than a 15-minute journey away.

By car

The NEC is located 8 miles east of Birmingham City Centre; visitors from any direction can travel to The NEC via the following motorways – M1, M5, M6, M6 Toll, M40 and M42. The NEC's signposted on motorways and major roads and is marked on most good maps. 

Sat Nav

If you’re using a Sat Nav, please enter the postcode B40 1NT to pinpoint The NEC. Please be aware that the Sat Nav system will not direct you to the onsite car park. Please follow the clearly signposted directions once in the vicinity of the venue.

Car parking

There are a variety of car parking facilities available, however we strongly recommend that you book in advance. Prices start at £12 per day if you pre-pay for parking up to 23:59 on 31 March 2020. Regular bus services will then take you to Hall 2 for IRX.

By plane

IRX will attract visitors from across the UK, Europe and rest of the world as the NEC is minutes away from Birmingham Airport (BHX).

From the airport simply take the free and fast air-rail link to Birmingham International Railway Station located at the upper level of Terminal 1. The train runs every two minutes and only takes 90 seconds. When you arrive just head straight through to the NEC.

Staying overnight?

As IRX takes place over two days we recommend you book a hotel in the local area. There are a vast number of hotels around the NEC and Birmingham, with a price to suit your budget. It's recommended to book early as accommodation does fill up fast.
